Jordana Brewster Confirms She’s Not In ‘Fast 8’

11. december 2016 at 19:10 | Gabriella
Sad news for all Fast & Furious saga fans. Jordana Brewster IS NOT in Fast 8.

Mia's ride is over…well, at least for now.

Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster confirmed to People's Choice that she's not in the next installment of the franchise, Fast 8.

"I am not in Fast 8. No," Brewster told People's Choice at the nominations press conference in Los Angeles last month.

Though Furious 7 seemed to bookend her storyline, Brewster is listed in the credits for Fast 8 in IMDB.

"IMDB listed it, which created a lot of confusion," said Brewster, who's played Dom's (Vin Diesel) sister, Mia, since the very first The Fast and the Furious debuted in 2001. "But I'm not in it."

Brewster may not be in the next chapter of the saga, but longtime cast members Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson will be back in Fast 8. They'll be joined by some new faces, including Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, and Scott Eastwood.

Interview with Jordana Brewster #2

When you're not working your day job, what do you like to do on the side?
There are lots of things I like to do on the side. In fact, I like to have my hands in many things simultaneously. I love home decor. I recently renovated my home. It took two years but the process was super gratifying. To envision what I wanted my home to look like and then to see it come together is an incredible feeling. It's also a very fun and collaborative process. I also try to donate as much time as i can to my two favorite charities; Alliance of Moms and No Kid Hungry. Being a good mom is one of my greatest side interests.

In what way do you feel it enhances your life and your work?
I think balancing work with hobbies and passion projects gives you a healthier perspective on life. It helps you shift your focus and discover other interests outside of your career.

Is there anything you'd like to learn or explore that you haven't gotten around to yet?
I'd love to travel more. I'd like to get my masters one day. I'd love to take a cooking course. I'd love to write a screenplay.

If you were to make a list of what you're most passionate about in your life, how would it go?

JB: My kids, my husband, my home, and lately…cooking!

"I was born in Panama but I lived in London for six years and then we moved to Rio for four years. My mom is Brazilian, so I would say that's had an influence on who I am, beauty-wise. I really like a full brow-I would say that's a Brazilian influence. I also like being tan no matter what, even though the sun is really bad for you. I use a self-tanner called Chocolate Sun that's organic and doesn't leave you looking orange at all. It's obviously a better option than a real tan. My mother is more pristine than I am in terms of her looks-if she doesn't have any makeup on she'll put on dark glasses, but she'll always have makeup on in front of my dad. She was a model, too, so I defer to her on all things that involve skincare. Like Pond's Cold Cream-our family has been using that for so many years and that's what I use to take my makeup off. I also like that it's moisturizing too because I don't always have to use a cream after. Morning or night.

Jordana Brewster Still Doesn’t Know If She’s in ‘Fast 8’

20. august 2016 at 21:02 | Gabriella

Fast 8 has wrapped filming and promises a trailer this winter. One cast member who is still in flux is Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto. She has not been included in any of the photos released from the set, and Brewster herself was unsure whether or not she would appear in the film, or at least was playing up the doubt in the press.

"I'm not really sure what's happening with my role," Brewster said when I asked if she'd wrapped Fast 8.

"I loved the original 'Lethal Weapon' with Mel Gibson and I love Renne Russo as well so it's really exciting. I feel like enough time has passed; a lot of people are not that familiar with it so hopefully there won't be that many comparisons, we will see."

And another possibility on the horizon for Brewster is her continuation with the "Fast and Furious" franchise. The actress hinted about her involvement with the 8th film.

"Never say never, but I don't know yet," she revealed. "I still feel like I am very much a part of the family. I don't know. It's hard because our fanbase is so amazing and everyone is always asking me. I'm not sure."

Brewster also dished on the on-and-off-screen chemistry between co-stars Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans.

"They're doing stuff on the weekend which is crazy given that they work five days a week together," she said with a laugh. "Their chemistry is really really good; they balance each other really well. Again that's something where you read the script, you talk to the creators, and then you're like the rest is in the casting and in that chemistry. I feel like they nailed it on the casting on this one."

"Lethal Weapon" premieres Sept. 21 on Fox.

As a busy mother of a toddler, 2-year-old son Julian, Jordana Brewster relies on beauty tricks to fake awake.

The Secrets and Lies star, who is married to producer Andrew Form, is always asking makeup artists for recommendations on how to look more refreshed than she feels. "The cooling gels and masks that [they] put under your eyes are genius! They're superhydrating and reduce puffiness in 5 to 10 minutes. They always help you look more awake," Brewster, 36, explains to Us Weekly. One of her favorite makeup artist-approved hacks is giving off well-rested vibes by putting white eyeliner on her waterline.

Jordana Brewster remembers The Fast and the Furious: 'We really do look like babies!'

4. june 2016 at 22:28 | Gabriella

By the time she made The Fast and the Furious, Jordana Brewster had already spent a few years acting on As the World Turns and costarring in the culty teen-horror flick The Faculty. But taking a lead role in a film about high-speed chases and operatic automotive calamity was a bit of a departure for the young performer. "I was a New Yorker," she admits. "I didn't really drive." She actually only got her driver's license to work on the film. A good thing, too: Brewster wound up reprising the part of Mia Toretto years later, in steadily-more-successful Fast films.

With Universal preparing to re-release The Fast and the Furious in time for the 15th anniversary next month, Brewster got on the phone with EW to remember some key moments with her costars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and the late Paul Walker.

"The Fast and the Furious" actress is currently tied to multiple projects, joining ABC's "Secrets and Lies" this fall and Fox's "Lethal Weapon" pilot reboot while juggling her most important role of all, mom to 2-year-old son Julian. She's also Pond's brand ambassador, helping the skincare company launch its new #AntiAgeLimits campaign, which encourages women not to let their age hold them back.

Brewster doesn't let her own busy schedule keep her from her dedicated skincare routine. "It's been the same for many years," she tells Yahoo Beauty. "I like the tried-and-true and not trying anything crazy. I use a mild cleanser at night and in the morning, and I use Pond's Rejuveness moisturizer."
